Monmouthshire County Council has been accredited as a Bronze Carbon Literate Organisation, recognising its commitment to tackling climate change and cutting emissions.
So far, around 115 staff, councillors and community volunteers have completed carbon literacy training, pledging both individual and group actions to reduce emissions.
Climate chief Cllr Catrin Maby said it was a key step towards making Monmouthshire a zero-carbon county.
