A march of the Queen's Dragoon Guard in Hereford on Tuesday has been cancelled.

The event has been called off to the extreme heat.

The troops were due to march around the city centre with an address by the Lord-Lieutenant and Mayor of Hereford Mark Dykes.

Hereford City Council said planned road closures for Mill Street, Cantilupe Street, St Owen Street, St Peters Square, Union Street, and Broad Street, from 11:15am to 12 noon may still be in place tomorrow.
