Swift action by a police officer saved a man after he fell into the River Wye last week.
The officer was on duty when he saw the man fall from Greyfriars Bridge into the water below.
PC Chris Rogers waded into the water and pulled the man out and immediately gave him CPR.
The 48-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
Inspector Peter Frankish said: "This was an excellent response by PC Rogers and his colleagues which could have saved this man's life,
"The height of the fall and the fact that he was briefly unconscious, face down in the water, could have made this a tragically fatal incident.
"Thankfully PC Rogers' instinct and training kicked in and tragedy was averted."
