A man was taken to hospital following an incident in Ledbury last night.
Emergency services were called to New Street at 10:30pm following reports of three men with injuries.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 10.29pm to reports of an assault in New Street, Ledbury. We sent one ambulance, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car and a Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS) doctor.
"Crews treated one patient, a man, for potentially serious injuries and he was conveyed to hospital on blue lights and sirens for further treatment.”
Investigating officers are appealing for anyone with information or witnessed several men acting suspiciously between 9.30pm and 10.30pm last night to call West Mercia Police on 101and quote incident number 741i of 1 September 2021.
A police cordon is expected to remain in place until tomorrow.
