The body of a man recovered from the River Usk has been named by police.
Emergency Services received a call at approximately 10.30am on Thursday 13th April 2017 regarding reports of a body found in the River Usk, close to the Caerleon Town Bridge.
Gwent Police have named the man as 36-year-old Zafar Abbas from Newport.
Officers are not treating his death as suspicious and his family are being supported by specialist trained officers.
