A man aged in his 60s died following a single vehicle collision on the M5 southbound earlier this morning.
Police were called at 8.25am to a report a van had left the carriageway between junctions eight and nine.
Emergency services attended and the driver from Oxfordshire, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin has been informed.
Two lanes were closed until around 12.30pm to allow officers to conduct a forensic investigation.
