A North Herefordshire man charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon will appear in court today.
It follows an incident which happened in the Nisa store in Kington's High Street where a woman was assaulted with a hammer.
Alexander Stone, 37, of Bridge Street, Kington was arrested on Friday and charged the following day.
He is due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court later.
