A man has been charged with attempting to murder an 11-year-old boy in Malvern.
Alexander James Johnson, 47, of West Malvern Road, Malvern, was arrested following an incident at a house in the town on Wednesday morning.
Johnson will appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court this morning.
Talking about the incident, Detective Inspector Chris Percival said: "I'd like to reassure people that this was an isolated incident and there was no risk to the wider public."
