The M50 will be closed overnight from next week to allow for bridge repairs to go-ahead.
It will be closed to eastbound traffic between junction 4 at Ross-on-Wye to junction 1 for Tewkesbury from 10pm to 6am from April 23 to 26 and from April 29 to May 1.
Fully signed diversion routes will be in place via the A40 and M5.
Dave Lynch, Highways England project manager, said: “Safety is our top imperative and this is important work to repair damaged concrete underneath three bridges on the M50.
“We know that roadworks can be frustrating but by doing this work now we’re able to prevent further more disruptive work in the future and we’d like to thank motorists for their patience while this takes place.”
