Kindle South Wye Development Trust recently held a children's party for over 80 children and their families.
ASDA Hereford kindly donated £1000 to enable SWDT to deliver their Christmas party, held on 16 December.
The Kindle centre is a real health and wellbeing hub in the local community with a variety of events on a daily basis including community lunches, health and fitness classes, arts and cultural learnings, skills and employment support, writing, language classes (English) and many more.
As well as supporting the event with £1,000 to give an extra special Christmas event for children and families in South Wye, the store and the Asda Foundation were so impressed by the project that Community Champion June and General Store Manager Stuart made a surprise additional donation of £10,000.
Mandy Evans, South Wye Development Trust Manager, said: "Getting £1000 towards our Children's Christmas Party was fantastic so when June and Stuart surprised us with a cheque for £10,000 I was absolutely speechless!
"This donation will make a huge difference to our small Charity and enable us to improve and continue to deliver good quality support services to the community we live in. Thank you ASDA!"
