Seven people from Herefordshire and Monmouthshire have been recognised in the Queen's Honours List.
People are nominated by members of the public, government departments or the Royal Family.
The list is a chance for recognition of those who have made outstanding contributions in their field throughout the year.
Across our two counties, there were four honours in Herefordshire, and three in Monmouthshire.
OBE
- Jump jockey Richard Johnson has been awarded an OBE for services to horse racing. The 41-year-old from Leominster won this year's Cheltenham Gold Cup. (Herefordshire)
- Elizabeth Ann Maher. For services to Diversity and to Economic Development. (Caerleon, Monmouthshire)
MBE
- Lyndon David Edwards. For services to Farming and to the community in Monmouth. (Dingestow, Monmouthshire)
- Professor Barbara Ryan. Professor of Optometry and Vision Sciences. For services to Optometry. (Abergavenny, Monmouthshire)
- Alan John Stoyel. For services to Water Mill Heritage. (Kington, Herefordshire)

- Bryan Sanderson White. For services to Sport, Health and Fitness. (Broomy Hill, Herefordshire)
