Pupils at Haberdashers' Monmouth Schools supported the African Children's Choir in two memorable charity concert this week.
The inspirational and uplifting concerts, held at Monmouth School for Girls, raised more than £4,000 for Music for Life, the fundraising charity of the African Children's Choir.
Music for Life works in seven African countries and has educated over 52,000 children as well as impacting the lives of more than 100,000 people through its relief and development programmes.
The concerts were part of the choir's Just as I am UK tour and involved pupils from Monmouth School Girls' Prep and Monmouth School Boys' Prep.
The Monmouth pupils joined their African counterparts in singing beautiful renditions of Christ Alone, Oh For a Thousand Tongues and This Little Light of Mine.
Mrs Hilary Phillips, Headmistress at Monmouth School Girls' Prep, thanked everyone who supported the fabulous concerts on Tuesday 15th January and Wednesday 16th January.
She also paid tribute to the host families, including the schools' own boarding community who looked after six girls and two adults from Africa.
"It was wonderful to see pupils from Haberdashers' Monmouth Schools uniting on stage with the hugely talented African Children's Choir," she said.
"It was a fantastic experience for everyone involved and has provided memories that our children will treasure for many years to come."
