An injured walker was rescued on the Sugar Loaf on Saturday.
Longtown Mountain Rescue were called out at around 1:30pm on Saturday following a request by Gwent Police.
The well-prepared family were coming down the eastern side from the summit, when the lady slipped and injured her lower leg.
The rescuers provided an hasty team on site, providing shelter, heat pads and medical aid.
After splinting the injured lady's leg, she was stretchered down off the hill for onward travel to hospital.
