Developers have submitted plans to build five homes next to the A49 near Ross-on-Wye.
A previous proposal to build homes and garages at the Everstone Farm site in Peterstow was refused by Herefordshire Council.
Brian Griffin, the applicant’s agent, said: “The provision of five dwellings at Everstone will support the wider parish and its services and provide construction and on-going service jobs for local persons.”
He also said the development would not harm the landscape character or the rural nature and local environment of the area.
Residents have until November 20 to comment on the plans and council planners are expected to determine them next month.
