Fire crews were called out to tackle a house fire in Ross-on-Wye this lunchtime.
Firefighters from Ross and Fownhope were called to Ledbury Road at just before 12:15pm.
The fire started in the kitchen and was spreading rapidly up the stairs towards the open windows on the landing and first floor. 4
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus quickly extinguished the fire using hosereels, with safety jets outside and thermal imaging cameras also in use.
One person was given precautionary checks by paramedics after inhaling some smoke, but not needed treatment.
