Businesses and organisations in Herefordshire are being offered free cycle stands.
The Take a Stand® scheme will help local businesses tackle two of the most pressing issues of current times: The growing climate emergency and the financial impacts of COVID-19.
The financial imperatives of COVID-19 and climate breakdown have seen Local Authorities working hard to promote and facilitate sustainable transport such as walking and cycling. To help local businesses and organisations contribute to this effort, Life Cycle has received funding from Herefordshire Council to provide up to four free cycle stands complete with free installation through its Take a Stand® scheme. All the recipients have to do is apply.
The scheme will provide cycle parking to help people on bikes better access local jobs and services. The benefits to businesses can be huge, to their staff, and with the resulting rise in footfall increasing retail spending by as much as 500%.
