Herefordshire's Ellie Goulding has announced her engagement to art dealer Caspar Jopling.
While many couples choose to reveal such milestones on Instagram or Twitter, Goulding and her beau opted for the time-honoured approach of a newspaper ad.
After dating for more than a year, they shared their happy news in The Times' personal announcement section.
The notice read: "Mr C.W.F. Jopling and Miss E.J. Goulding.
"The engagement is announced between Caspar, son of The Hon Nicholas Jopling of Yorkshire and Mrs Jayne Warde-Aldam of Yorkshire, and Elena, daughter of Mr Arthur Goulding of Hertfordshire and Mrs Tracey Sumner of West Midlands."
Jopling, 26, studied at Eton and Harvard before joining Sotheby's auction house where he specialises in strategy and contemporary art.
He represented Team GB as a rower at the 2010 Youth Olympics, but no longer competes.
The couple recently moved in together, splitting their time between London and New York.
Commenting on her work, she previously told the Evening Standard: "I am very happy but I do realise you need some darkness to draw on to create the best music".
Goulding, 31, previously had a two-year relationship with ex-McFly bassist Dougie Poynter, dated DJ Greg James and DJ/producer Skrillex, and was romantically linked to Prince Harry.
Goulding is currently working on her fourth studio album.
