A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Hereford yesterday.
Police were called shortly after 2.30pm to an address in Hunderton Avenue where a 48-year-old man was found with stab wounds.
He was taken to hospital with serious injuries but they are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.
A 50-year-old woman was arrested shortly after at the disused railway line, known locally as The Lines, close to the address.
She remains in custody while enquires continue.
Detective Inspector Ben Pearson from Hereford CID said: “We understand this incident is likely to cause concern locally, but we would like to provide reassurance that we are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident at this time.
“Our Safer Neighbourhood Teams will be carrying out additional patrols in the area and residents can expect to see an increased police presence on Hunderton Road, The Lines and in the surrounding areas while our enquiries continue.
“Although we are not looking for anyone else at this time, we are keen to hear from anyone who has information in relation to this incident which could assist with our investigation.”
