Hereford postman Mike Chandler completed his 17th London Marathon for Breast Cancer Haven in Hereford yesterday.
Mike finished this year’s marathon in 4 hours 54 minutes, which is a huge achievement given that he is still recovering from injury as a result of a dog attack which happened last year.
Mike has raised a staggering £18K again this year for Breast Cancer Haven in Hereford and hopes to bring this up to £20K. Mike has raised nearly £400K for charity in his running career.
Mike said: “I’m feeling so proud and privileged to have represented the lovely and generous people of Herefordshire, my wonderful colleagues at Royal Mail and Hereford’s Breast Cancer Haven in the London Marathon. As always in memory of my Mum too.”
Postman Mike is back at work this morning delivering the post across Herefordshire, please congratulate him on his fantastic achievement when you see him today.
