A Hereford man will bring his mountain-climbing effort to a close – on his 91st birthday.
Alan Blake has been ‘climbing mountains’ as he ascends the steep steps in his garden for more than a year as he raises funds for Parkinson’s, Burghill Parish Church and Rotary.
But now he’s bringing his incredible journey to an end as he turns 91 on Friday.
He’s already raised more than £23,800 for the three good causes and is looking for one final push to get him over the £24,000 mark.
