A rugby club has been given the go-ahead to build a new stand at their stadium.
Forest of Dean District Council planners have approved Drybrook Rugby Club’s proposals for the new 100 seater stand at the Mannings ground, High Street, Drybrook.
Sport England supported the scheme for the viewing stand which will feature green plastic-coated box profile sheeting to the roof, the back of the stand and the side balustrades.
Clear plastic side panels are planned at either end of the building and the structure will sit on a 8.6 inch concrete base.
Planning officers said the new stand will improve the community facility and will not detract form the character and appearance of the area nor harm the living conditions of nearby residents.
The plans were approved on August 5.
