Ludlow’s former Mayor, Councillor Beverley Waite, has raised £6,822 for charity during her term in office.
The total will be shared between Midlands Air Ambulance and local group Working Together, which supports people with learning disabilities.
In response to the donation Nigel Bishop, Chief Officer of Working Together said: “On behalf of everyone at Working Together we’d like to say a huge thank to Cllr Waite for choosing Working Together as one of the mayor’s two charities for last year and to everyone who has kindly contributed to this brilliant donation – it is very much appreciated”.
Councillor Waite expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the fundraising efforts—from community events to individual donations—which reflect the strong civic spirit and generosity of Ludlow residents.
“It was an absolute honour to hand over these contributions to such worthwhile causes. But the true credit belongs to the incredible people of Ludlow. Your kindness, energy, and support made this possible.”
