Councillors believe a recently installed bus shelter near Bromyard was set on fire over the weekend.
The bus shelter on Bringsty Common was installed a week ago and had been donated by Whitbourne parish council to the residents of Linton.
Councillor Nigel Shaw had arranged its relocation and installation. “The shelter was installed to provide a refuge for passengers, especially children, waiting for public transport into Bromyard and Hereford,” he said.
“It’s very sad that someone wants to damage this public provision. The fire was spotted at 6am on March 7 and a fire crew from Bromyard attended.”
