Firefighters remain on scene in Hereford at a 'severe' house fire.
The fire service received a call at 12:35 today to a fire at a mid-terraced house in Cobhall Close. Six fire engines attended from HWFRS as well as Police and the Ambulance Service.
The fire was extinguished using hose reel jets and breathing apparatus.
Residents from the adjacent properties were evacuated, and the Red Cross is in attendance to support them.
By 3pm, the fire had been extinguished and crews are involved in damping down the property.
Members of the public are asked to remain away from the area to ease road congestion.
HWFRS remains at the incident, along with colleagues from West Mercia Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Currently no details can be confirmed about any possible casualties.
Fire officers will carry out an investigation into the cause of the fire.
