Fibre internet users in Herefordshire were affected by a major outage on Thursday.
Gigaclear, who provide ultra-fast internet to thousands of households in the county, reported a loss of service.
Network technicians said the failure was due to a loss of service from another provider.
Jamie Flint, Gigaclear regional manager for the West, said: “Both our engineers and those from the third party provider worked hard to resolve the issue and service to customers was restored last night.
“We are constantly making key steps to make our network resilient to ensure our customers remain connected.
“We thank our customers for their patience.”
A Fastershire spokesperson said: “The project is aware of an outage that occurred yesterday on the Gigaclear network as a result of a third-party supplier.
“We understand this will have caused some frustration, but service was restored last night.
“Fastershire has been in close communication with Gigaclear during this period and if residents have any issues, please contact Gigaclear.”
