Shropshire Council says its investigating concerns raised regarding a housing development in Clee Hill.
Residents have complained about the erection of temporary protective fencing affecting neighbouring properties.
A council spokesperson said: "We have held discussions with the developer and have been reviewing whether the fencing works that have taken place needs planning permission."
"The outcome is that the work does not need planning permission, but the developer has assured us that the fence will be removed by Tuesday once they have carried out works to the adjoining new dwelling.
"They then wish to hold discussions with the council and the residents to agree the best way forward."
