Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision on the B4350 between Hay-on-Wye and Three Cocks.
The collision happened at a section known locally as Sheep House Corner, at approx. 3.40pm yesterday.
Three cars were involved: a black Vauxhall Corsa, a green Range Rover and a blue Vauxhall Zafira. It is thought the Vauxhall Corsa was travelling towards Three Cocks, while the other two cars were travelling in the opposite direction – towards Hay-on-Wye.
Sadly, the male driver of the black Vauxhall Corsa died at the scene. His next of kin and H.M. Coroner are aware.
A passenger travelling in the Range Rover was taken to hospital with serious injuries. They are in a stable condition.
The road was closed for a number of hours while collision investigation took place.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or was travelling along this stretch of road at the time is asked to contact Dyfed-Powys Police by calling 101.
