Local people and visitors can enjoy an afternoon and evening of free parking this February.
On Saturday 8 February, parking will be absolutely free in all Council-owned car parks and on-street Pay & Display from 12noon.
This includes Maylord Orchards car park, Old Market car park and on-street pay & display, but excludes Friars Street car park.
Cllr Barry Durkin, Cabinet member for roads and regulatory services, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer this period of free parking in Hereford, which has become something of a tradition to give our local businesses a boost around Valentine’s Day. Hereford is a vibrant and attractive city for residents and visitors, thanks largely to our wonderful local traders and entertainment providers, and this afternoon and evening of free parking will provide added encouragement for people to get into our beautiful city and show the love our local businesses deserve.”
