A Hereford student will play the starring role in this weekend's Dr Who episode.
18-year-old Ellie Wallwork who attends the Royal National College for the Blind has landed a starring role in the BBC's Doctor Who, airing on Sunday 2nd December.
Ellie was born blind due to Retinopathy of Prematurity.
Ellie said: "Earlier in the year, a casting call came for a blind teenager to play a character in Doctor Who. I went along and I got the role. I can’t say too much or give any spoilers, but it’s been an amazing experience working with stars like Jodie Whittaker and Bradley Walsh. They were all really nice and the crew were all really helpful."
However, Doctor Who isn’t Ellie’s first taste of fame. She has also appeared in the equally as popular BBC show, Call The Midwife.
