Detectives are appealing for information after a dog walker suffered suspected shotgun injuries in Ebbw Vale.
Officers were called to Man Moel Road shortly after 6pm on Sunday to reports of a man with a gunshot wound.
A man had been walking in the area with his dog, when he suffered the injury to his leg.
It is believed the wound was caused by a shotgun discharge, but investigations are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances.
He was taken to the Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil, where he remains in a stable condition. His injuries are believed to be life-changing.
