Motorists are being urged not to travel after a number of accidents overnight.
Police and county council highways departments are calling on drivers not to take to the roads as emergency services deal with incidents across the region.
In particular, they have been attending a spate of incidents on the A40 between Ross On Wye and Monmouth.
Several lorries and vehicles had to be rescued on the A4103 and A49 Dinmore Hill overnight.
A number of routes are impassable this morning due to heavy snowfall and strong winds overnight.
