A Herefordshire councillor is on the mend after undergoing emergency surgery shortly after Christmas.
Herefordshire Council chairman Brian Wilcox told a public meeting today that Jenny Hyde, the Conservative member for the Ross North ward, is currently recovering at Hereford County Hospital.
Chairman Wilcox said: “She underwent emergency surgery shortly after Christmas and was transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham but was fortunately returned just yesterday and is back in Hereford hospital.
“I’m sure all our thoughts are with her and her family at this time.”
He said he had arranged a get well card for coun Hyde and asked councillors to sign it.
Councillor Hyde provides support for the young people and children’s wellbeing cabinet member and is on the adults and wellbeing scrutiny committee.
She is also a Ross town councillor.
