The third Gloucestershire case of a patient in the Cheltenham area contracting COVID-19 was revealed yesterday.
Two cases of the coronavirus were confirmed last week as both in the Tetbury area, where one was infected in northern Italy.
The Cheltenham patient is receiving support and advice from Public Health England (PHE) and people who may have had close contact with the confirmed case are being contacted.
The Government’s advice is that hand hygiene is vital in limiting the spread of the virus which has now seen three patients with COVID-19 dying, all of whom had underlying health conditions.
