A man remains in hospital with serious injuries after an incident on Hereford's Commercial Street earlier today.
At about 12.05pm, officers from West Mercia Police attended the location, where the man had been stabbed.
Two men are in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder this afternoon. In addition, a man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Superintendent Sue Thomas says: "The area of Commercial Street where the incident took place remains closed with a police cordon while we investigate, and our officers are still on the scene.
"I'd like to thank the public and the local business community for all their support and co-operation today. We hope to have the area opened again as soon as possible."
