Clun No2 Bridge – which carries an unclassified road over a tributary of the river Clun – will be closed for essential maintenance works from 24 February to 5 March 2025.
The work involves removal of vegetation from the structure, general repointing, and taking down and rebuilding the upstream parapet.
To carry out the proposed work safely it will be necessary to close the bridge to vehicular traffic, 24 hours a day.
When the bridge is closed, traffic will be diverted via local roads by a signed diversion route.
Access over the bridge for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will remain available throughout the work.
The work will be carried out by Shropshire Council’s term maintenance contractor Kier, with supervision being provided by WSP on behalf of Shropshire Council.
