Police seized a car with no insurance and no tax from Cleobury Mortimer last Friday.
Officers stopped an X Type Jaguar on Ludlow Road at around 2:30am.
Checks were conducted on the car and its occupants. The checks conducted on the car identified that it was not insured, that the MOT had expired in March 2019 and that there was a Statement of Off Road Notification (SORN) for it.
A vehicle that has been SORN cannot be parked or driven on a public road.
The car was also searched and a small quantity of cannabis located, this was seized for destruction.
As a result of the checks on the vehicle, one of our partner agencies was contacted to arrange the recovery of the car to make the roads a safer place.
Within forty minutes of Officers arriving with the car, it was removed. If the owner wants their vehicle back, they will have to prove that they have insurance, MOT and valid tax for it, they will also have to pay at least £150 to the recovery company.
