A body has been found as part of a search for missing Pershore man John Machin.
The body was discovered in the River Avon near Twyning, on the Worcestershire and Gloucestershire border, at around 11.20am this morning.
Formal identification is yet to take place but the body is believed to be that of 74-year-old John Machin. His next of kin have been informed and have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
