Police are appealing for information criminal damage was caused to a window at Waitrose in Hereford on Saturday.
Damage was caused with what is believed to be a BB gun/catapult that was discharged at a large glass windows to the Café of Waitrose with members of the public in the vicinity, during opening hours.
At the time of the incident it was very busy and there was a high number of members of the public in the area. The ball bearings have caused the outer panes of the windows to shatter, thankfully not all the way through, otherwise people inside the café would have been showered with glass.
It is believed that the weapon was discharged from the vicinity of the Garrick House multi storey car park on Widemarsh Street. Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area or directly involved in this incident.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could help police with their enquiries can call 101 and quote reference 445s280418.
Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org
