The A49 in South Shropshire has been closed after a serious crash.
The main road has been shut between the A489 (The Grove, near Craven Arms) and the B4371 (Church Stretton).
Emergency services were called to the incident at just after 1:30pm.
Police have confirmed a car and motorbike have been involved in a collision.
Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and may wish to consider alternative routes.
Diversion details
Southbound traffic follow hollow circle:
- At Church Stretton exit and travel east on the B4371 to Much Wenlock
- Travel south easterly on the A458 to Morville
- Join the B4368 and travel west to re-join the A49 at the Craven Arms.
Northbound traffic follow hollow triangle:
- Exit at the Craven Arms and travel east on the B4368 to Morville.
- Travel north on the A458 to Shrewsbury to the A5
- From the A5 you can either continue on your journey if travelling further afield or return back down the A49 if travelling locally.
