Patching work is to be carried out on the A4169 Much Wenlock Road from 12 to 25 January [2024], ahead of the road being surface dressed later this year.
Work will take place from 9.45am to 4pm each day – not including weekends. The road will be closed during these times and a signed diversion in place.
The diversion route maintains A road status via Bridgnorth and Telford. Depending on people’s vehicle type they may be able to choose their own shorter diversion route.
Access for properties and businesses within the closure will be maintained when safe to do so. Staff on site will be able to help with access.
Signs will be erected in the road before starting the work and the work will be completed as quickly as possible.
All planned roadworks are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be displayed on the yellow advanced warning signs and on https://one.network/
During the work access to the works area will be restricted to:
- Essential highway personnel
- Local residents who live and reside within the road closure
- Businesses located within the closure (if applicable)
- Pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians
- Emergency service vehicles
