Two arrested after attempted burglary in Alvechurch

Two men have been arrested following an attempted burglary in Alvechurch.

Police were called to Radford Road, Alvechurch, in the early hours this morning (Monday 16 May) following reports of a burglary in progress.  Patrol Officers arrived at the address within minutes and arrests were swiftly made.

The two men aged 24 and 21-years-old have been arrested for attempted burglary.

Inspector Lee Page, of West Mercia Police’s Safer Neighbouhood Team for Redditch and Bromsgrove, said: “We know there have been ongoing concerns in around burglaries and car theft in Alvechurch, and around Redditch and Bromsgrove in general.   

“We hope that these arrests offer some reassurance to local residents and send a message to anyone considering undertaking such crime that we are targeting suspected burglars.”
