Following the recent temporary closure of the Post Office in Usk due to government advice, Monmouthshire County Council will now operate a free bus service for residents to allow them to access the service in Raglan.

From Monday 6th April Usk, residents will be able to book a place on the bus, which will run on a Monday and Wednesday between 10am and 12pm. A maximum of four people will be allowed per trip to enable social distancing.

Residents can book a slot by calling 0800 085801 24 hours in advance. The booking line is open Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:30pm, so Monday bookings need to be made on a Friday.  This is a trial at this stage and will be reviewed.

Councillor Paul Jordan, Cabinet Member for Community Hubs said: “It’s great to see this innovative solution to ensure residents can continue to access these important services. We know that the Post Office is a lifeline for people at this difficult time so we hope this interim solution will help those residents continue to use the service.”
