7-year-old boy killed in collision with minibus

A seven-year-old boy has died after being hit by a council mini bus in Monmouth.

He died at the scene around a mile from his school yesterday afternoon.

A 45-year-old man from Gloucester, who was behind the wheel of the bus, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or if anyone has dash cam footage from the area around the time of the collision, to please contact us.
