A controlled explosion will be carried out in Hereford this morning after two explosive devices were discovered in Rotherwas.

Police closed Fordshill Road and Chapel Road yesterday afternoon following the discovery.

Local businesses and properties were evacuated as a precaution.

The area was home to a munitions factory during World Wars One and Two.

Both devices - one which is thought to be live- have been moved to Sink Green Farm.
