Appeal after travel agent robbery in Ross on Wye

Police are appealing for information after a man went into Miles Morgan Travel and threatened people inside before leaving with a quantity of 715 Euros (£650 sterling).

The incident in the travel agent on Market Place, Ross on Wye occurred at around 4.45pm yesterday.

The man is described as being either eastern European or middle eastern with a strong accent. He is between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 10ins tall, plump and in his late 40s. He had a dark stubbly beard and was wearing dark clothing.

Sergeant Sarah Bennett said: "This was clearly a distressing incident. Extensive enquiries are being made and anyone with information should get in touch.

"I'd ask people in the area to be on the lookout for a man fitting this description attempting to change an amount of Euros similar to the amount stolen."
